We are a family business operating in the beautiful deep south and southern suburbs of Cape Town
We are a family business, based in the South Peninsula of Cape Town. Darren’s love for cooking wholesome, healthy food for his family led him to launch Freedom Foods Catering Kitchen. Having managed and owned several restaurants, both locally and in New York, Darren has a love for and experience in the Restaurant trade.
After taking an almost 10 year diversion (that time being spent working on oil rigs and other off-shore vessels), it was time to set new roots down. Digging deep to find his passion again, Darren started Freedom Foods Country Kitchen.
Our new weekly menu gets sent out every Sunday. Meals are ordered on a weekly basis and delivered or collected daily. You can order off our weekly menu (with regular or banting options), our standard menu, our vegan menu or our kiddies menu.
Our meals are freshly made every day and we pride ourselves on making healthy, tasty and convenient meals.
You can order 7 days a week or 1 day a week. Since all meals are made with fresh ingredients, they can be frozen for easy re-heat options for high-stress times too. See our latest weekly menu here.

Please note we offer box meals to order for Wednesdays. They can be altered to your meal preferences and all labeled and dated. Stock up with our freezer meals to help with no dishes and cooking, our containers are microwaveable.

Chicken Marsala
A chicken breast braised with button mushrooms, country mustard, and Marsala wine. Served in a buttery Marsala sauce with mushrooms.
Chicken Schnitzel**R90
Topped with cheese sauce and served with vegetable and starch of the day.
Chicken Curry
Served with rice and sambal salad.
Lemone Chicken
Chicken breast cooked soft and tender in a buttery lemon broth.
Cottage Pie
Lean beef sautéed with onions, carrots and celery in a brown gravy. Topped with mash potato and oven baked.
Beef Stroganoff
Sautéed tender beef strips served in a sour cream and mushroom sauce.
Beef Curry
Served with rice and sambal salad.

Ham & mushrooms in a creamy cheese sauce over Penne
Bolognaise
Lean beef mince in a herby tomato sauce over spaghetti

Fresh tomato & basil in a herby tomato sauce with a touch of garlic & white wine. Served over penne.
